Rated 5 out of 5 by from My lil old man loves it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a teacup chihuahua who is 15 years old. He's old and doesn't have the greatest teeth anymore, but boy does he love this food! If he don't like it, he'll bark at you until you put something down that he likes. He doesn't play around when it comes to food in his old age. Especially because hard foods can sometimes hurt his teeth. If he thinks it's worth the pain, he'll eat it. We give him moist soft dog food usually but he enjoys hard food still. Cocoa says it's good! I love that it has what he needs in it without a bunch of extra junk. Not always easy to find something this picky old guy will eat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Puppy Approved lol. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sons love this food, they could not eat it fast enough. I even gave some to my little boy that is now pushing seven, and he thought it was amazing. Usually he is a very very picky eater but with this food it took no convincing what so ever to get him to eat it. My oldest, and biggest son, jeje, loved the food as well. He kept asking for more and more of it and of course I obliged to a certain point. All in all it is a great looking, smelling and according to my kids, a delicious concoction that they have received. Definitely will keep buying this after they've sampled it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Enough For a Good Test [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think just going through one small bag of this new food probably wasn't enough for a good test and review. My dog has been on her current food for a couple of years now and she didn't seem to eat as much of this as usual. I can't tell if it upset her stomach or she didn't want to try something new. She is also 50 pounds and is used to the larger size bites of food and this one is much smaller. It took her a while to go through the whole bag. It would have been good to know the size of the food and the size of the bag beforehand. I didn't expect them both to be so small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Taste Was a SMASHING Success [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a 14 yr old black lab/coon hound mix that had recently started just licking at her regular food. Speaking with a friend, she said that sometimes older dogs will have a hard time chewing and digesting their food and will "go off" it without much warning. Luckily, my BzzKit with the bag of Iams® ProActive Health™ Senior Plus dog food arrived this morning. She gobbled down the first "test taste" I put in her bowl and was begging for more right away!! I'm thinking the smaller pieces may be easier for her to chew and the taste must be great. Love knowing that our "grandma dog" is getting good nutrition again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy Dog food We had gotten another brand and it resulted in her have intestinal problems, we went to Iams and she returned to normal, happier, and more active; she is a 9 year old dog and had seemed to slow down a little. Not now. Thanks IAMS

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Senior Gives It Two Paws Up! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 12 year-old Schnoodle (poodle schnauzer mix) Cali, seems to like the Senior Plus IAMS food a lot. I'm happy that the first ingredient is chicken and all the ingredients are quality. That's really important to me when choosing her food, along with it being specially formulated for seniors. Cali has a lot of spunk and it's important to me that she stays active and energetic so she needs food that can provide optimal nutrients. Someone at the dog park last week thought she was 12 WEEKS old when I told them she was 12! The measuring cup IAMS also provided is very handy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iams Senior I have a 9 yr old Border Collie. I've changed her food from Royal Canin to Iams Senior. I ran out of my usual RC food and bought Iams till I ordered more, however, I noticed she loved the Iams and licked the bowl all the way round and her coat is a lot more shiny since switching, so I'm going to continue with the Iams. She seems very happy and her stools are easy to clean up too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iams dog food is a hit! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 dogs that are very picky eaters. Two of them are Miniature Pinchers & one is a Boston Terrier. As soon as I emptied some of Iams ProActive Senior Plus food into their bowls they scoffed it up! They are all over 10 years old so I wasn't sure how they would react to a new food because I have occasionally tried to switch their food to a more healthier option & they have sniffed it and walked away but not this one! I'm happy that they liked it because I worry that as they age they are not getting enough nutrients to keep them healthy for the maximum amount of time. We want to keep them around as long as we can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW they love it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My older dog can be a bit picky and some days is a food hound. She LOVES this food. My little one wants to eat it too. There is no way I can deny them considering how good it is for them. They seem to love the flavor and the smell to me is pleasant and not overwhelming. Happy to feed this to them. Small sized kibble seems to be helping them to eat it easier? They are quite content and the incontinence in the older dog seems to have stopped. Is it because of this? Not sure but I am just pleased it has improved since I have been feeding them this Iams for senior dogs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iams senior plus dog food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Iams senior plus dog food and started giving it to my elder furry friend.i have never thought about switching his food before now. He loved it thought is was the best food he had ever tried. He has been having hip pain a lot more these days. We'll after he's been eating this he seems to be moving around a lot easier and better. He has more energy and a lot more playful as he still tries to be a young guy. Iams is a very recommendable food for your furry friends. I am switching immediately to Iams for my 4 legged friends. I rate this food a 5 and recommend for everyone with pets weather it's dog or cat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from IAMS Senior Plus- Labrador Approved [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 11 year old lab has never been much of a picky eater until recently. Luckily for me, when she decided to stop eating her old food, I received Iams Proactive Health-Senior Plus in the mail. Just in time! I transitioned her for a few days and she has been loving it. Glad to see her readily eating again. I had recently taken her to the vet and was told to start her on a supplement for arthritis. Therefore, I am very happy to see Chondroitin and Glucosamine within the ingredients list to help with her joints and bones! I've been happy with the product so far and am looking forward to the benefits it provides for my girl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two 14 year old dogs and we are still in the transitioning phase. They are old and a little bit picky. I guess they have earned that. I added a little of the Iams senior plus into their regular dog food and they ate it right up. So far they haven't had any reactions to the switch and are still eating great (have had in the past where they wouldn't eat when mixed new food with old food). The food smelled fresh and I am loving that chicken is the first ingredient. I can't wait to see how they do after the switch and if this food helps with their sore joints! I'm so glad Iams sent this dog food so we could try it out!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why did I wait so long???!! I switched my two Shih Tzu's over to Senior Plus in the Spring '12. Not only did I see a change in their energy levels but I noticed during their quarterly hair trimming that their thinning coats were fuller and more robust in color. Seeing them playing again, running through the house & under the coffee tables at full speed, jumping on the bed again and overall more lively really made me grateful for this next level in my dogs' diets. I had seen the Senior Plus advertised, but was reluctant to move from the regular Iams since Iams has been their steady diet since they came home almost 12 years ago. But not only has it brought an obvious outward glow of health, but the bouts of loose stools and digestive issues have completely vanished!!! I would not hesitate in moving my older dogs over sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can see the change in my old pup! When we rescued our dog, he was 4 years old. We had him on Beneful. As he got older we noticed he was starting to vomit about every other day. Not to the point of losing weight, but just small amounts her and there. I changed his food to the Blue Buffalo brand, when it came out with its "real" this and that claims. I noticed a small change. Then my dog hurt himself last year and we took him to the vet. That's when I found out that he was a "Senior" dog. Lol. The Dr. recommended putting him on a senior dog food because of the arthritis and other old people things he was starting to experience. We did that in August of 2015 and except from the dog flu he had a month ago, he hasn't had any tummy problems and has the pep back in his step.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Iams Senior Review [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 10lb pomeranian and a 100lb lab mix. This sample was intended for the lab. She is 13.5yrs old. As dogs get older weight due to inactivity becomes an issue. More weight means harder work on joints. The Iams was VERY small kibble. I offered it to both dogs and they ate without hesitation. Size was great for my pomeranian however the lab (wolfed) it down. I would prefer larger kibble for large dogs, making them chew and not inhale their food. Over all good product, im unsure I will be buying it though due to size of kibble and my worry of weight gain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iams Senior Plus is a new fav! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi, received my bag of Iams ProActive Health Senior Plus dog food in the mail from Iams yesterday and immediately opened it to let my furbaby try some. As soon as she heard me opening the bag she ran over to smell it. She's very picky so I put a small scoop(love that it came with a scoop to keep in the bag) on the floor for her to try before putting it in her bowl and I was shocked she ate it so fast I don't even think she tasted it! I'm so glad she's getting all the nutrition she needs for her age!I highly recommend giving this a try if you have a senior dog age 11+! I will continue to purchase this from here on out! Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Crew I have 7 chiuahuah's from 10 lbs to 3 lbs and some are getting old, and their teeth are not so good. I have always feed them Iams, but my little old ones have a hard time crunching down and I'm afraid they will choke trying to swallow it whole. So I tried the senior plus and they all love it, even my oldest dog she is 13 and has bad teeth. The bites seem to be easy for them to crunch and the peices are small enough that I don't worry about them choking if they swallow it whole. I have not found a better food for my tooth challenged chi's, so thanks to Iams for their dedication to pets and their needs. If your going to spend your money on dog food don't waste it on cornmeal cardboard, get your money's worth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If she loves it, I love it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received iams proactive health senior plus dog food for free from iams. I have a 12 year old pitbull and she is very picky. I switched to this food midway thru a bag of food I knew she liked, just in case she wouldn't eat it. I guess she liked the way it smelled or could tell it was new because no bribing her to eat was necessary. Over the years I've had to change her food many times because she is so picky, but I think this one may be a winner for us. Not only does she like it, but I know it has the exact ingredients she needs. The size of the kibble was also perfect for her. If she's happy with her food, I'm happy to buy it for her after the bag we have is finished.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dogs can't complain!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs are honestly really hard to please when it comes down to there food. I have two a min pin who is 11 and a chihuahua who is 3. I was alittle skeptical whether they would like this food or not since it does not have the chewy bites they love so much. Immediately after I poured it into there bowls they both walked over to them sniffed and immediately started chowing down. They absolutely love it and can't get enough! I think I've found a new food for my little ones!!! And it always has great health benefits which I can't complain about!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dog Loves, I love! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog, surprisingly enjoyed my most recent BzzKit with the bag of Iams® ProActive Health™ Senior Plus. He is a 12 year old toy poodle (8 pounds) who normally barely eats all day. He get chicken for dinner every night (spoiled, I know) and a bag of dog food normally lasts us 6-8 months. With this food I found my dog sneaking bites of it throughout the day. He didn't eat everything, but it definitely was a step up! I feel like normally he doesn't get all the nutrients he needs so this product really helped me ensure his health a bit more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picky eater [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, my little old man has become a very picky eater over the last few months. He is almost 15 years old, going blind, and hard of hearing. It was once he started losing his hearing and sight, he has started to stop eating dry food. I wonder if it is from his teeth hurting or not, but even when I mixed it with wet food, he still refused to eat it. I was very happy to see that the Iams come in smaller bite size pieces. I tried it with the wet food, and I guess because the pieces are smaller, he seemed to eat it right up. So far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iams, The Bright Spot in Your Dog's Day !!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of habit I have always given my dogs the same brand for 14 years. Unfortunately my Mickey passed away the day after I received my bag of IAMS dog food. Needless to say my husband and myself were devastated. But our little Missy was so very heartbroken, she stopped eating, playing and would just lie there looking where Mickey would eat and sleep. We did not want to lose both of our pups, then I remembered about the bag of Iams the I received in the mail. I put it out for her and Thank-God she started eating. That was a good day!!!!! I am so happy to say that she hasn't stopped eating Iams since. So I thank-you Iams for saving our little Missy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ingredients are impressive [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I do when I look at any new dog food is look at the ingredient list. When I seen that the meat is the first ingredients, I became impressed. My dog has yet to fully change to the food and I am not sure if she is as happy with it as I hope she will be. Her normal food has real pieces of chicken and I can tell she misses those. The food looks a bit bland, all one color and the same texture. I don't know how the taste is, but so far I don't know if it will be to my dogs liking. I will report more on that after a few days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Iams is a great brand [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Here's the funny thing about this food, I have 2 dogs one is 11 and the other is 2, now my older dog turned her nose up at this but my younger one who is very picky eater loved this brand. Now I like the fact it's not made with a lot of byproduct and that it's made for the older dogs but my dusty girl just wouldn't eat it. The pieces were very tiny and that may have been why as she is a 60lb dog and has always liked bigger pieces. All in all Iams is great product and I will be trying a different type of food for both my dogs

I have a younger Yorkshire and a senior pug so I just changed the regular food for my pug and I was surprised to notice that he completely loved it. He wasn't eating a lot and I was afraid he wasn't getting the nutrients he needed but with Iams not only does he eat all I give him but I am sure my dog is getting the nutrients and everything he needs. We have definitely decided to buy more of iams proactive health dog food
