Rated 4 out of 5 by from Iams Large Breed Dog Food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A couple weeks ago I received a 15 pound bag of dog food from Iams. I didn't know my dog could be that excited to eat twice a day. Instead of staring at his food and slowing eating, he would gobble the Iams down and get mad when I didn't give him more than the two cups. The bag says that it helps with digestion and they aren't lying. He has had so much gas since starting Iams and they reek. He became very consistent when taking him out to go to the bathroom.I guess I know it works. It's good knowing that he is getting all the nutrition he needs. it was very important to my wife and I that the first ingredient be meat. Thank you Iams for sending us this product to try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dog loves this stuff! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I transitioned my dog to the Iams Proactive Health for adult dogs after receiving a free sample from Iams. My dog Chinook is usually very timid about trying different dry dog food, however, this particular food seems to be hitting the nail on the head! She wouldn't leave my side after having her first serving and tried tremendously to coax me back to her food bowl for more! She loves this stuff! I even take a handful outside with me to play with her and use it as rewards for doing her tasks. Thanks Iams for the wonderful product! The Proactive Health for adult dogs is exactly what I've been looking for in a dry dog food for my favorite girl to stay healthy and enjoy life!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from iams large breed works like treat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a trial bag of iams large breed dog food through a bzz campaign. When it arrived I was eager to try it. I have two dogs. One is a lab mix who weighs 98 lbs the other is a jindo that weighs 45. I fed it to the lab who ate a few pieces and left the rest. I later caught my jindo sneaking in and stealing the food out of the larger dogs bowl. After several tries my lab just doesn't seem to like it. My jindo on the other hand seems to think they are treats and will not stop taking them from my labs bowl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iams Proactive Health, Large Breed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Saint Bernard named Sally, she absolutely loves the Iams Proactive Health dog food for large breeds. She always eats this food very eagerly and really seems to enjoy it. Iams is a brand I feel good about giving my dog and its a brand I trust. I like that the pieces of dog food are larger, I feel that they are the perfect size for Sally. I have nothing bad to say about this food, I feel like it provides complete nutrition for my dog and I will definitely look for this food next time I am out shopping!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great ingredients, too large morsels [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 5 dogs, (2 large breed Akitas, 1 Jack Russell, 1 french bulldog, 1 chihuahua). I try to feed them Iams always, but the one that contains the main ingredient as protein. I buy a 55lb bag weekly. This one had great ingredients, but the morsels are too big. My large dogs didn't care too much for the food. They are picky eaters, more so than the smaller dogs. so i really have to please the large dogs. I will say that i do trust the Iams brand, but will pass on future purchases of this particular product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dogs love Iams! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My three large breed dogs (a great dane, an akita, and a mastiff) all have eaten another brand of dogfood for years. I thought they liked it until I switched to Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed. Even my picky 14 year old akita ate her whole bowl right down morning and night. Even better it really seemed to help her temperamental stomach. Anyone with a big dog knows how smelly they can be but the Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed greatly reduced this! Also we started the switch over at the same time as they were shedding their winter coats and I can really tell the difference in their new coats from the Iams- so smooth and shiny. They have never looked better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rhodesian Ridgeback Approved We have owned Rhodesian Ridgebacks since 1985 .IAMS is the only food we have ever used(puppy and adult) and none of them have ever had any adverse effects from IAMS. We currently have 4 ranging from 90-110 lbs . In fact their coats are silky and smooth, their energy levels are off the chart. Their overall health is fantastic never had to spend money on them except for their annual vaccines ,rabies and neutering and spaying. We also have had three litters and the gyps were feed IAMS puppy food while gestating. The pups were raised on IAMS puppy food until they went to their forever homes. We will continue to be loyal IAMS customers for our precious 4 legged children. Just wish their was a 50 lbs sack available!! Thanks IAMS !!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NEW Household Brand [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to see this come in the mail because our dogs have been eating the same dog food for a long time but I dont really know what to buy!! I thought it was great that the first ingredient was not corn for a change.. the dogs smelled the bag open, they came running and ate the whole bowl really fast. Usually they eat a bowl throughout the day and this time they ate it all at once.I was really surprised!! I am glad that I got to try it and I have since changed from our brand to IAMS Brand!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dog food review! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would highly recommend this product for all dogs. Is a great choice esp for large bread. There is a limited supply of large bread foods and this one is a great pick. The first ingredient is a meat which is my number one reason to pick a food. The rest of the ingredients are simple and nutritious they offer a lot of great important ingredients and added benefits. I have two large bread dogs and they both loved it. They both have sensitive stomachs at times and never had any problems Overall great food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My super picky dog loves it!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a very picky dog. I can't seem to get her to eat most dog food. She has been known to refuse to eat if I only give her just her kibble. I've had to give her real meat along with her meals most of the time. She even has gotten really good about picking out just the meat and leaving the kibble. When I got this in the mail I was skeptical. I gave her a bowl of chicken and the kibble and I've never seen her scarf down a meal faster! I have even been able to slowly add less and less of the meat, so here's to hoping I can get this terrible habit out of her! I have also noticed that she seems to be a bit more energetic and friendly. Thank you Iams for making such a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dogs <3 Iams! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started feeding my 90 pound Yellow Lab the sample we received free from the brand. it has been 10 days now and she loves it! Its giving her a lot more energy and making her coat really shiny, We followed the feeding guidelines about transitioning to Iams and haven't had any problems so far. I am a lot more comfortable feeding Iams now that I know meat is the first ingredient instead of corn or a by product. Iams is a trusted brand for our household and I love that they have a large breed formula!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hank turned his nose to this [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wouldn't consider my dog a picky eater, especially considering the fact that I once caught him eating out my cats litter box. So I thought that he would gobble this food up super quick. This was not at all the case. Hank wanted nothing to do with this dry food. I thought of I mixed it with his wet he would eat it but he also turned his nose to this food. Once again my dog isn't picky but he really wouldn't touch this. The food he was getting before was also an Iams product so I'm not sure why he didn't like this particular kind. I even mixed some of his previous dry with the new dry and he didn't like it. I relented and let him go back to his original formula and he seems happy now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mr. Finicky [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My yellow lab is such a great dog and a wonderful part of our family. However, when it is time to eat he always comes to see what is in his bowl sniffs and walks away. He waits to see if he will get leftovers then he will casually munch on his dog food. It takes forever for him to finish. Now, with the Iams he gobbles it up right when we put it in his bowl and has been every day since we got the food I am keeping my fingers crossed to see if this continues and we can say good bye to Mr. finicky!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lickin' Their Chops [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently tried a bag of Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed food for our large dogs, a boxer/mastiff mix and an akita mix. They knew something good was in store for them as soon as I brought the bag into the house. They both loved the food and seemed to digest it easily. The only "compliant" I can possibly try to come up with is that our little shih-tzu couldn't stay away from it because she loved its smell, too. Those large breed kibbles are not meant for her but she managed anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iams fans for life [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Iams is the only brand of dog food that I have bought our 6 year old Daisy May from the start. It was the only dog food that had chicken as the first item of ingredients and she has been hooked since. I was so excited to see that the brand we love so dearly now has a food tailored for our larger breed dog. Daisy May woofed this food up without thinking twice and has been walking by her bowl looking for more ever since. I cant wait to find this in the store and continue to buy it for her.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Iams Dog Food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first added Iams dog food to my two Doberman's food, they investigated immediately. Each one took a single piece from the dish, walked away, and thoroughly sniffed the morsel. They looked at me and walked away, abandoning the pieces they grabbed. Sure enough, my spoiled fur babies ate all of the normal brand, and left about every morsel of Iams. Day 2, my dobes had a chance of heart and ate all of the Iams and left more of the normal brand in their bowls. It took them time to accept the change, but now they are both big fans! I am satisfied that they accepted a healthier, more nutritious brand of dog food. They are family, and deserve the same care in their diet as I give the rest of the family!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Dog!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we received our 15# bag, I never thought my dog would ever notice the difference boy was I wrong!!! After 1st meal, Russ (my dog) was so excited every time I went to feed him. Maybe he knew the extra nutritional value who knows lol. He would stand by my side as I scooped out his breakfast and dinner even started to nudge my leg to get his bowl to his feeding mat. After seeing how he loved it, I decided to change to IAMS and love the excitement from Russ.....Thank you IAMS!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed dog food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two large dogs and they are very picky about their food. They usually wait hours before they eat dog food, to see if you will add anything to make it taste better. As soon as we tried Iams ProActive Health, which is filled with chicken, they immediately scarfed their food down. I was shocked at how much they enjoyed the taste without us having to add anything to it! It contains everything to keep them healthy and I am glad we finally found something they actually enjoy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't go over well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I received my 15 lb Iams Pro active health large breed dog food the other day. I was so overly excited to try this with my 3 year old Siberian Husky, named Kaine. He has alot of energy and is well, crazy at times. I decided to give him a big bowl of this food and some water when we woke up. Sad to say, he turned his nose up at it! I found this very strange considering that his first year he ate Iams puppy. I think maybe the smell of it just didn't hit it off with Kaine. The food is just brown shaped pieces, all the same texture and flavor, which is chicken. My dog usually is not all that picky with food, but I'm gonna trick him next time and mix it into another bag! I'll let you know how that one goes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back to Iams I always fed my animals Iams. Dogs & Cat. For 10 years. As the cost was quit high I dropped my standards. I went to a different product. 10years ago. It seemed to maintain their health. Shiney coat, energy, good stools, etc. (We have 3 Doberman Pinschers. 2yr 4yr 8yr) 6 months ago we started seeing an over amount of shedding. Though the company said nothing changed. Enough of he shedding. (Dobermans don't normally shed much) So I decided to return to Iams. The shedding stopped in 1 week. My 8yr old Doberman has a new spark about him. Eventhough he has been supplemented with Glcosamine-Chondroitin. We raised a beutiful healthy litter on the other food. We love all 4-legged kids. Keep up the good work Iams. I knew what to go back to. Sincerly, Glad to be back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Dog's an Iams Dog [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs go absolutely crazy when I grab their bowls for their evening Iams. I can't imagine dog food can taste as good as real chicken and eggs but this must come pretty close. This is pretty easy on the stomach - our boxer is a little high maintenance and easily gets an upset tummy but she scarfs Iams down with no problems (especially the Mini Chunks for Large Breeds option). Our black lab's coat is gorgeous & shiny from Iams. Would never switch to another brand of dog food.

Both are in excellent condition and eagerly athletic. The boston has moved onto mature Iams food, she is nine. our Boxer will do the same. Thank You Iams

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality product that tastes good too [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to my dog no longer being able to eat hard food I passed this on to a friend. Now that her large chocolate lab has been eating it a while she is happy to report her dog loves it! At first she thought maybe her dog was just excited for something new, but she continues to gobble it up. She likes that it promotes strong bones, muscles, and joints. Her dog is moving slower as she ages due to joint pain and is hoping this food will help. Iams makes great quality products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rosie loved it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My chocolate Lab is 15 months old and I was feeding her Iams Smart Puppy for large breeds. Its a smaller piece d food and she sometimes doesn't eat it in the morning and sometimes she does. The first time I gave her the new food, she devoured it all! It took a while to get used to the bigger pieces but she managed! She seemed to really like the food and my son couldn't wait to put the mini food dish on her collar! Then, every time she came running we really heard her!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I have three dogs, a german shepard mix (pit bull and shar pei in him also), an american eskimo, and a pomerinan. I feed them all the large breed adult (not maturity) formula. My two biggest both have joint problems due to age, breed tendency and injury and my pom has knee problems due to breed tendency. They all are doing wonderful on this. I have noticed that my big guys want to play more and they are going on 15 years old. My pom also wants to play more becuase his knee doesn't hurt any more. Keep up the good work!
