Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mixed in the bag of Iams dog food in with my dogs existing food about a week ago. Brutus is a Bull Mastiff/Boxer mix and is a snacker. He loves table food, but now that he's getting older, his stomach can't handle it well. Prior to getting the Iams, breakfast and dinner was starting to be a hassle. He would just sit and stare until I gave him a little something, otherwise, he just wouldn't eat. I mixed in the Iams, and he actually started eating his food on his own again! Don't get me wrong, he still wants his snacks, but he's doing better! I look forward to seeing how he continues to progress with the switch.

She really only likes chicken. believe me I have tried feeding her my left over pot roast and she will not touch it . She is a chicken dog that's for sure. Anyway I thought I would try the Iams dog food for her in the chicken and she really loves it. now that amazing because she is not fond of dry dog food but she was very happy with it. If Asia will eat it its sure to be very good .I received a sample of Iams chicken dog food for large dogs and I'm so happy I did because now I know what to uy for her that she will eat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Am glad I tried iams! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog has never been more happier with feeding time! We used to have a problem with him eating because he's very picky and never satisfied always seemed to want more but now with iams he goes crazy when he hears the bag shaking he is a BIG dog and when he runs and jumps he tAkes me down with him and yesterday he took me down to get to his food! The huge bag spilled everywhere he's never done that during feeding time so I know he loves his new food! It was a race to get the food off the floor before he could eat it! I highly recommend iams to anyone with animals!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy dogs, happy momma! I own 2 mastiffs, one Bull Mastiff that weighs 130 lbs and one English Mastiff that weighs 200 lbs. I have used IAMS large breed for 8 years, once they got past the puppy stage. I used IAMS for puppies prior to that. My dogs are 8 and 9 and are healthy as horses. Mastiffs tend to have quite a few health issues, but not my boys. I do give them joint supplements now that they are older. Everyone always tells me how great they look. They coats are beautiful. I expect to have many more years with my dogs, so thanks IAMS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Growing strong I've had both of my dogs one is a Doberman and the other a Rottweiler on IAMS since they were both 8 weeks old. They've been doing great on it. Their coats are shiny and they're both very energetic! I personally like it because it contains chicken as it's 1st ingredient and it's not that expensive compared to other brands. My Dobie is 2.5 years old and my Rottie just turned 2 years and I plan on keeping them on IAMS for the rest of their lives. I'd definitely recommend because of the reasonable cost and quality. I'll be updating reviews as they get older so far I'm satisfied!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good quality, but chunk size is too large [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a bag of Pro-active Health dry dog food for Large Breeds from Iams for my dog to try. My dog is not a picky eater at all and usually likes everything, so I was excited for him to try this food. Unfortunately, it's the only food I've even given him that he wouldn't eat. I think it was the size of the chunks that was a problem for him. He's a 60 pound Catahoula/retriever mix and definitely considered a "large breed", but he really seemed to have trouble chewing this food. I think if the chunk size was smaller, he probably would have enjoyed it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Doggy Approval [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My two bulldogs were the "taste-testers" of this product we received from Iams. My bullies tend to let food sit for a few hours and then eat when THEY feel like it. The Iams pro health dry food was a hit in my household. My bullies cleared out their bowls in moments. I did noticed little changes in their energy and coats. They seemed to have more energy throughout the day, which is great since they are normally so lazy! In addition, I noticed their coats were much shinier than normal and I truly believe its due to the ingredients in the product. I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends for their fur-babies!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best dog food High quality, great food for your dog! Our nearly 10 year old lab mix, Riley, has only consumed IAMS food her entire life. She has great teeth and keeps up with our 3 year old lab mix, Stella, no problem. She still can walk 5 miles(or more) has strong teeth and just such a healthy dog. I credit IAMS with her happy active life...thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with this Brand of Iams [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched my 7 year old black lab from another Iams brand to Iams Large Breed and haven't noticed a difference... and that's a great thing. Roxie was doing great on the other variety so I was a little wary that she'd have some stomach upset during the transition. No belly troubles to be found. And, I think she seems to be satisfied longer. She doesn't come begging for dinner an hour before I plan to give it to her like before. She eats it happily morning and night. I've had to coac her to eat other brands - never with Iams. She's a happy girl!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had hoped for better results [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A friend had said their Vet had recommended IAMS for their dog & she really liked it. We had just bought a bag of IAMS Proactive Health for Large Breed Dogs a couple of days before receiving a bag from IAMS to try for free. It took almost two weeks before Buddy would eat the IAMS without mixing it with anything else. He just didn't seem to want to eat it. So after feeding him two 15 pound bags we switched back to his previous dog food. We were looking forward to being able to switch to IAMS permanently since it's cheaper than his current food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Puppy Love [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying I have a very high strung finicky eating Great Dane. I received Iam's Large Breed dog food to try from the manufacturer. From the moment I opened the bag my dog knew these were no bland "ordinary" kibble. He "woofed" them down and wanted more. He thoroughly enjoyed them and I liked knowing that I was feeding him a quality dog food. I decided to do nut own compare taste test and switched him back to one of his old brands. He sniffed the kibbles and walked away. I'm sold. Maybe the Iam's brand is a little more expensive but he's definitely worth it. I wouldn't skimp on my kids' food so why should I expect my "fur kid" to be any different. I love my dog and he loves Iam's. That's good enough for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Food for Dog Lovers [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog is 8 years old and a very important part of my life. She is my baby and there is nothing I wouldn't do for her. So obviously I want the very BEST for her. Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed is perfect for her! She is very picky about her food (like if i buy something she doesn't like she won't eat for a couple days), but as soon as I put it in the bowl she gobbled it right up! She also has some problems passing really bad gas, but being on this food has really helped her. I wish someone would have told me about this food sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Forever faithful to Iams!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog Kimbo is a Bloodhound/Lab mix. He has been a Iams dog since the day my son rescued him from the side of the road, when he was about 8 weeks old. He is a very important part of our family and so is his health & nutrition. Because he is a large breed, strong muscles & joints and healthy bones are essential to his longevity. I was thrilled to receive a bag of the ProActive Health Adult Large Breed dog food for him to try from Iams. The transition has been very smooth. He loves it and therefore so do I!!! He will always be an Iams dog!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They Love It, So Do I [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have to be on our third bag and Both dogs are still in love with Iams Proactive Health. What I love is their lack of gas after meals. What a relief. We are constantly on the search for dog food that does not give them gas and that they like. Not a simple combo. I like size of the kibble, it keeps her from wolfing the food down. I like the ingredients, I like that both dogs like the food. The food is available at our local pet store so we have not had to switch back and forth. Sonar so good we are sticking with Iams until further notice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from He likes it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I opened the package my dog was right there waiting to try the Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed. I handed him a few morsels and he wanted more; but he had to wait until the next day... I started with a 50/50 mix of previous and the new IAMS. Not one bit left in the bowl. He is now transitioned to Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed. I'm not sure if he has less of an appetite (due to my husband feeding him treats!), of if he has decided he doesn't like to food. I will continue feeding him the Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Large Breed until it is gone. But I think I will transition back to the IAMS weight control food for my dog.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My dogs love it! My dogs gobble it up and look for more. Not because they're still hungry, but because it tasted good. They are running around a lot more lately even though it's still cold outside. One of my dogs had a skin problem on her foreleg that was red and her fur was gone. We tried medication and bandages, but she would just chew the bandage off and lick off the medicine. Even with a "lampshade" around her neck, her brother would chew off the bandage for her. Nothing was helping! I've been giving her Iams Proactive Health dog food for about a month now, and her leg has barely a hint of pink and her fur is coming back in nicely. Both dogs are getting shinier coats, too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Proven Quality over years of use I have raised several dogs using Iams and have had healthy long lives. I have had people suggest I not use this product but then they go on and tell me about all of their vet bills. My current Lab I rescued from a family that couldn't handle her. They gave me a supply of their cheap food which I used to gradually change her to Iams. She changed physically and mentally to a much happier dog.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from couldnt eat enough [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog ( Golden Lab) loved this food. The ingredients were solid and seem to comply with the healthy standards you expect for your best friend. I slowly mixed it in with his previous food and so there were no stomach problems. Occasionally with his previous food he would not eat in the morning and then try to inhale his dinner meal. However, with this food he always ate it all and seemed to look forward to meal time. Keep his bathroom times regular and expected so he and I knew what schedule he was on. This really helped with being comfortable when I needed to leave him at home or when I really needed some sleep. Quality product and no stomach issues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ingredients could be improved [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a large dog that eats a lot and we are very picky when it comes to choosing food for him. We have a Golden Retriever with a sensitive stomach, but he will pretty much eat anything. We mixed his current food with the IAMS Proactive health dog food and he did enjoy it. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed with some items on the ingredient list, such as corn meal and by-products. I do not think I will be buying this food in the future, if there are no improvements made to the ingredients. I do however like that there are added vitamins and minerals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best dog food for my German Shepherd I started buying her the large breed puppy food and she loved it! She did very well on it and grew to be a big dog! When she was two years old, I gradually switched her to the adult large breed formula. She is thriving and very energetic! She is an indoor dog, but obviously gets her outdoor fetch exercise! I highly recommend this dog food and so does Jet!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Change of Ingredients??? My Goldens have been eating Iams large breed dog food since Iams puppy food. They have always been picky eaters until this last bag. Now they are finished in maybe 2 minutes. What the heck happened? My only thought is a change of ingredients. Any thoughts out there?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional food supporting BRAIN and BEHAVIOUR We recommend this formula to "training and behaviour" clients on a regular basis... it is very similar to therapeutic formulas that aid in behaviour maintenance and the added amino acid, L-Tryptophan is an added bonus as it's a required "ingredient" for the calming chemical "serotonin" in the brain, which helps in supporting a calming effect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some dogs love it . . . some not so much [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs, a golden retriever, a great dane, and a black lab all normally eat the same food. However, when I tried this new food, they did not like it. I started mixing it in, the dane and the lab started eating all of it, but the golden just kept looking at me with a strange look on her face. She will not eat it, just leaves it in the dish and tries to eat around it. She never seemed picky before, but I guess she is. My other two dogs are OK with it now. I have given up on my golden. But the other two seem happy to get it now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My greyhound loves Iams!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first switched my greyhound's food over to Iams, at first he was a little hesitant to eat it. After smelling it and looking up at me several times he finally took a bite. And then another, and another. In the past he has been very fussy and I wasn't too sure how he would react to a new food. He absolutely loves it! The best part of his new love for Iams is the benefits of this great dog food. Not only is it better for him, but he looks so much healthier. Greyhounds tend to be on the lean side, but now though still lean, he looks more muscular. And his coat is shinier then ever before. Thanks to Iams for making a difference in my best friend's life :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dogs with digestive problems [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a huge fan of Iams adult dogfood. I have 2 dogs, 1 of which has a very sensitive stomach. With other big name brands he gets an upset stomach, diarrhea etc but with Iams having so few fillers, he does great and has no problems. My other dog is a medium sized dog so the size of the Large breed bites are a little too big for her but perfect for our lab. I will continue to buy the Iams brand since it is so well for our dogs digestive problems but I will be getting the smaller chunks so that they are both accommodated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My "Rescued Dalmatians" LOVE Iams... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our family has rescued several Dalmatians who either came from abandoned homes or were abused/maltreated. It is the #1 priority to get them healthy and nourished. I have talked to Veterinarians and others who dealt with needy dogs...and Iams is the name at the top of their lists. The way I spoil my Fur-Kids is embarrassing, but when their life has not been the best from the beginning and they only need LOVE to bounce back, I DO rely on Iams, playtime, cuddling and unconditional love to show them I care. Thanks Iams!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Doggies loved it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we received our bag of iams, we were all very excited to try it. My dogs couldn't wait for me to open the package. I think they could smell the goodness from the outside of yhe bag. I always look at the ingredients, to make sure I sm feeding my four legged children the bestm. I also don't want to give them something that would upset their tummies. I am pleased with the iams brand and there ability to put dogs nutrition and wellness at a high priority. Both of my dogs loved the food, and being that they are both large breed dogs, we go through a lot of food. Thank you iams for the free sample, food scoop and keychain. I and my dogs enjoyed reviewing this product.
