Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rascal loves Lively Senior at age 15! I switched from the regular Indoor/Hairball formula to Lively Senior several years ago. My cat Rascal has been eating this and loves it. He had his 15th birthday today and continues to be my buddy and happy partner-in-crime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to find I have two cats that are over 10 years old. This is the only food they will eat. Unfortunately, it's extremely hard for me to find! :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fat old cat happy Switched to this from a diet cat food when I realized how old my cat was getting. The cat likes this much better. And, not to be too gross, his stool is healthier looking (it looked dry with the diet food.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Discontinued??? My cat NEEDS this cat food. He's about 13 years old. He's been on it for a while. Iams his whole life. Suddenly I cannot find this senior plus anywhere. He's not responding well to any other cat food. I've tried about 5 other kinds, several by Iams. Not producing solid bowel movements. What is going on, Iams?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 18 yr. old loves it! My now 18 yr. old female cat had a hard time a year or two ago walking, jumping, etc. I started her on "Lively Senior" and it seems like her aches & pains got so much better! She's still doing well, and although she doesn't run much anymore, she's eating well & seems like a happy girl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My picky cat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved IAMS Proactive Health Healthy Senior cat food for my cat and she loves it. She is 9 years old and is an indoor cat only so I often worry if she is getting everything she needs from her regular cat food. But with Healthy Senior I know that she is getting everything she needs to be happy and healthy. She is a very picky easter but she loves Healthy Senior. I love that it has natural fiber and probiotics. It's 100% complete and balanced for older cats it has 0% fillers and it's #1 ingredient is chicken. And it also has 2X the antioxidants for healthy immunity. I can say that my cat is very happy with her new cat food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Stuff for Elderly Cats I have two cats, one male and one female, who are now ages 13 & 14, but you'd never know it because they are so healthy. They look 1/2 their age. From 2005-2012, I fed them Purina's Indoor Formula because both of them like to eat too much. They are mostly outdoor cats in a quiet, safe neighborhood but have access to the garage where all their stuff is staged: beds, blankets, toys, cat tree, cubes, boxes, food, and water. When the weather is bad or below 40 deg F, they come inside. They are also constant companions after hours. They groom, cuddle, and sleep together at night. I think this explains in large part why they look so much younger than they are. THEY'RE HAPPY CATS! By 2012, however, I noticed that they were becoming older after I saw some of their old snapshots. They're faces had gotten skinny. I felt guilty for having fed them Purina Indoor Formula for years. So, I did some research and gave IAMS Senior Plus 11+ cat food a try. I slowly transitioned them from indoor to senior plus and they never once got sick. They also seem to enjoy this food and haven't lost any weight, which is a good thing in this situation. They've been eating it for almost a year and the other day (Aug 2013) I noticed them playing outside. The oldest was playing attack cat. It had been a long while since I caught them playing like that. So, I'm not sure if it was coincidence or if the food really lives up to its claims. But, I'm not changing their food despite the expense. If I could afford it, I'd probably feed them the premium/advanced version of IAMS Senior Plus 11+ cat food, but I can't afford it. I do recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finicky feline finally finds it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Look up the word finicky in Webster’s and you’ll probably find a picture of my 10 year old cat...paws! Through the decade she has graced our lives two things went unchangable. She would prefer to drink out of the toilet than her fresh water bowl and she refuses to eat anything but the cheapest dry cereal we started her on as a kitten. Nothing else! No cans, no variety packs, nothing. But I decided to try Iam’s senior catfood. Her needs have evolved over the years and the cheap food was just not sufficient. Glory, over me! Paws tried and she liked it! Now she at least has a choice. A healthy choice than ms finicky will eat...devour..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 13 yo cat prefers IAMS over fancy canned food! Cisco is a domestic long hair that is 13 years old and is indoors only. He was eating a major competitors 7+ year old senior dry food, as well as 2 canned foods that are frisky and fancy. I came across the IAMS 11+ yo Senior formula in my local store and decided to try it. He is CRAZY about it. For now he seems to prefer it to even his canned wet cat foods. I would prefer if the main ingredient was salmon, tuna, or whitefish rather than chicken, but the bottom line is Cisco loves it just the way it is so I'm gonna keep buying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cats Love It. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our cats are pretty finicky about what they'll eat, so we don't typically try to change their diet up too much. However after some recent dental issues, we wanted to find a dry food that was a little bit softer. The Iams Protective Health for senior cats has a higher moisture content than what we usually give them, so we decided to give it a try. Our cats like it so much that they snuck into the closet and started to try eating it through the bag! After some rearranging (hiding the bag), they are perfectly content with eating it out of their bowl. Added bonus that this food is not chock full of preservatives. We'll be keeping this one around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kitty Crack? I don't know whats in this that's doing it, but I practically have to fight off my younger kittens to stop them from eating my older cat's food :'D My two older cats love this, even my very picky cat with teeth problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat approves! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally found food my cat likes. For a stray cay that showed up at our house several years ago, he sure is picky! I started feeding him cheap brands at first, but then decided I needed to feed him more healthy food as he's gotten older. I tried a couple of brands that he obviously didn't like since he would stand at his bowl--which was half full--and meow as if he was hungry. When I fed him the IAMS proactive health, he ate it with no "fussing." He's happy now, and I feel as if I'm doing my part to keep him healthy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My senior cats love this food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now that my 2 cats are older I thought I'd try some new foods. Comparing ingredients of this food with what I had been feeding, Iams has better ingredients. The cats always seemed to be hungry. Now after a few weeks feeding Iams senior they seem more content and satisfied. The price is very little more that what I was paying for lower quality food. We will continue feeding Iams senior for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My little one has been on an Iam’s diet for 13 years. She is a 7 lb mixed tabby. She took to the change from the regular Iams diet with no problem at all! There isn’t a thing I would change. Other than that, my recommendation would be to maintain your formulas and the kibble sizes. After years of them digesting the same product, it can be hard to tolerate those little changes. In closure, the senior diet has been great. Thank you for looking out for the well-being of our furry children. They are more than animals to us! You guys are the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cat Daddy Loves it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Cat Daddy is the oldest of our cats, and since he is getting older we thought it was a good time to get him started on food that would help him stay healthy longer. Cat Daddy isn't usually fond of dry cat food, but he seems to really enjoy this IAMS Proactive Health. Usually, he will turn his nose up and yell at you if there isn't any pate on his plate, but every time I scoop some of this food onto his plate he eats it up without complaint! That's a win in my book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cats loved it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this food several weeks ago after my cats were not eating their regular food as quickly. They love this kind! I have to refill the bowl more often now, which is a good! The cats seem more energetic and excited about eating again. They also seem to have a softer coat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat stands at the bag wanting more food. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Charlie the cat really likes this Iams Proactive Health Healthy Senior dry cat food. He's practically begging for it, and he's quite picky. It's the first time he has just sat next to bag staring at me. It seems to be agreeing with him, and he hasn't gotten sick like some other dry cat foods do. He's kept it down and that's a good thing. I will buy more of this since I know he likes it and it's very healthy for him to live a long healthy life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real Chicken [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Proactive Health Healthy Senior is loaded with everything my Senior cat needs to stay healthy as he is aging. I didn't realize he wasn't getting all the best in his diet. I wasn't sure he was going to eat it, but he liked it. I have been feeding him Iams for 2 weeks now and he never refuses eating and that makes me feel proud that I know I'm feeding my cat the the best nutrition for his health, at 11 years old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’ve always been a big fan of the Iams brand, and my love for this product is no different. Iams really focuses in on an older cats needs when they developed this cat food. Both of my cats are on the older side and love this cat food! It makes me happy to know I’m supporting their needs as they get older, and the ingredients make me feel good about the choice I make to feed them Iams Proacrivr Health Healthy Senior! I definitely recommend this cat food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My kitties are 15 & 16 years old and I have fed them Iams dry cat food since they were able to start eating. I do buy different types of the brand by alternating the flavor or benefits, such as adult cat food vs hairball prevention. They have maintained good health and weight. They do not over eat, so o am able to fill their little bowl once a day. Iamstm Proactive Healthtm Indoor Weight Hairball Care With Chicken Turkey Adult Premium Cat Food

Rated 5 out of 5 by from tasty (so the kitty says) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] PROACTIVE HEALTH™ Healthy Senior. have many kittens/cats (foster home), plus my own cats. My eldest is very finicky, primarily eats wet food (3 servings a day), with dry food to nibble on during the day. Was very please to see she was eating more of this dry food then she has for other brands I have tried. The extra intake is appreciated as it has been hard keeping her up to ideal weight

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat really enjoyed this food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat enjoyed the food and didn’t leave one single piece in her bowl. She typically begs for food and this was no different. I am glad she likes it because she can eat healthy and still have her food be tasty to her. I feel like these vitamins in this food will help her in her late years and hopefully she will live a long healthy life after I continue to buy this new food.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good food for my senior lady [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good food for my senior kitty. She is very picky about what types of food she will eat and so far she seems to like it. I am happy to see the added ingredients for senior cats as I was just feeding her a normal all ages food. She definitely isn't as active as she used to be but it's great to know that she is getting good nutrition to keep her moving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My cat, Woody, LOVES this brand and when he hears the package, he comes running!  Woody is ten years old and still quite active.  He has had no urinary tract infections which can happen with other brands.  I highly recommend Iams products to other pet owners.  Its not the most expensive and its not the least expensive, but its a good value in that it helps keep Woodrow healthy, shiny, and happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Filling and healthy for the older cats [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've given the Iams PROACTIVE HEALTH™ Healthy Senior to my mothers two cats that are very much seniors. They are so pickey when it comes to their foods and I was skeptical at first. Now when it comes to feeding time all I have to do is shake the bags and they appear. I'd say at least give it a try, your cats may love it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can't go wrong with IAMS! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a household of 6 indoor cats of varying ages and three outdoor and we try to feed them the best food we can afford. We have 2 senior cats and another that I would consider middle-aged but close to being a senior and I started looking for something that would suit them better than the Iams Indoor Healthy Weight cat food they've all been getting. IAMS has a Proactive Health Healthy Senior cat food that I thought might be the food for them so I tried it. They took right to it and ate it right up without their usual pickiness that they can be prone too. I am so glad that they did because I really wanted to continue to feed my cats IAMS as I feel that is the best quality food for them and it has kept them healthy for many years now. Looks like we've now got a cat food for our cats that will cover their later years too and yayyy, it's mine and their favorite, IAMS!
