Rated 2 out of 5 by from Changed Kibble size? This was the only kibble my kitten would eat when I brought him home 3 months ago-it was star shaped. Then I just bought a bag and it is tiny pieces that she can't eat. WHY???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 paws up! My kittens love this food. When I adopted them they were being feed "cheap" cat food, but I knew I wanted to feed them IAMS and I was hoping that switching foods would be easy. Luckily, my cats Sam and Dean (Supernatural) love this kitten food, have never had an upset stomach and the switch was a piece of cat. I realized early on that I needed to have 2 separate food and 2 separate water bowls because the brothers were pushed each other out of the way, but that's because the food's so good. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kittens love it The kittens love the taste, but I wish it didn't have corn meal as a second ingredient.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Food When I first brought my kitten home, he was not even a pound and very sick. Through nurturing and use of the Iams' kitten food he is now 8 pounds and healthy. The vet recommend the continued use of this food due to our great results. Only downside is he doesn't always love the taste but still readily eats it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Read mixed reviews, but don't regret choosing IAMS I recently found a stray/feral kitten on one of my walks and he seemed severely underweight. He followed me around and didn't let go of me, so I took him in. Noticing his evident malnourishment, I slowly started to introuduce kibble foods to him, but to no avail. The next day, the kitten was showing symptoms of dehydration and anemia. He wasn't interested in the kibble I was offering nor the protein I put on his plate, so I rushed him to the vet, who was able to get him back to normality. Back on my house, the kitten still had no interest in the kibble (although he did eat chicken and tuna right away), so I decided to switch to IAMS proactive health for kittens. I had read some mixed reviews on this food, but after some encouragement from others who had positive experiences with IAMS, I gave it a shot. I slowly started introducing IAMS to my kitten and he seemed to enjoy it right away. His stools got firmer, he drank more water now, and his overall energy levels seemed to improve day by day. A few days after (and up until now), I am greeted anxiously by a lively kitten who demands his IAMS kibbles when he's hungry. So, in conclusion, I am very pleased with this food for my kitten and will continue to feed him this brand even in his adult and senior stages. I can't say this food saved my kitten, but it certainly got him very interested (and hungry) when it came to kibble food. I would definitely recommend this food to anyone else, but always cautioning that each cat is different and may take certain foods and not others. Other than that, thank you IAMS, now my kitty is obsessed with your food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy Kitten I adopted my little Smudge in May, after many years of not having a pet. There was no question as to what food to buy. Iams was always my go to. Lately I have had great difficulty finding Iams Healthy Kitten food and Smudge is not happy about this. I bought Iams adult food which she ate a little. She wants her Iams Kitten food and nothing else. Please tell me there is no a production, shipping or any kind of problem. Smudge feels like I am letting her down.;). Thanks

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Iams for Kitties Hi, I have been buying Iams for 10 years or more, and I have to say that the new Iams Kitties, my cats don't like it, the type of food is like black peppercorn, to hard to eat it, why you don't change it like the other one before, is horrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product We got our kitten from a shelter. They had been using a different brand of food for our kitten Sophie. I had already purchased Iams before I knew what brand they had been using for her. I did stay with the Iams and mixed the two brands together until she was used to the Iams alone. I knew about a week later that the Iams was the better brand. Her coat became more shiny and she gobbled up the food like there was no tomorrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Kitten Loves This Food I started giving this food along with the Iams dry to my brand new baby and he is growing well and is very healthy! My vet is very happy with my choice to use this food. My Siamese kitten loves both the wet and the dry Iams Kitten Food. It is not the cheapest but not the most expensive either, I know there are so many choices, it can be overwhelming. We plan to keep Teddy on Iams for his lifetime as there are many options for adult diet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shelter Recommended We adopted two 9 month old kittens, Adam & Arthur, about 2 weeks ago. We have had cats before but not this young. I asked the shelter, O.A.R, what they were feeding them. They told me no less than Iams. I'm not sure if it was the kitten formula and I wasn't sure if they would like it. They have been eating it everyday since! They really like it! Nice shiny coat and enough energy to drive you crazy! :) Thanks Iams!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why the change? I was panicking when I could not find the IAMS Kitten Food at any of the usual store, as it is one of the very few things my Baby Kitty will eat. He like(d) the shape (cross). I finally ordered from Amazon Prime and was relieved to receive it. Then I opened the bag...Oh, no! They changed the kibble shape! I had no choice, so I gave him some anyhow. He ate for a minute and then choked and regurgitated everything. Good morning to me! At least I heard him gagging and got him down off the couch before he let loose. What a let down! Let me just say, that for many felines, shape and texture are as important as taste. But, IAMS may have changed the taste, as well, because he did not have any interest. It must smell different than the cross shaped kibbles from previous version. My two cents on the cross shape...I think that my babies like it because it is easier to hold in their mouth and chew. I think it is a great shape for kitten food and for smaller cats with small mouth, or even seniors. The smaller ball type kibbles that many (and now IAMS) kitten food are using, are harder to get a good bite grip, and they swallow them whole, sometimes resulting in eating too fast & regurgitation. I'll either be returning these, or perhaps donate to a rescue (but I think the new shape is no good for babies, in my opinion). IAMS...Do you have any kibble that are cross-shaped

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tibby Sue Wants You To Know She Likes Her Iams I am 12 weeks old and my mommy started me on Iams Kitten Food because my big brother Thomas has always been an Iams Cat. He is very big and healthy and has a beautiful coat and I know my mommy wants that for me also. I want to be just like my big brother and be healthy and look beautiful. I have been to the vets twice and in three weeks time I have put on 1# and the vet says I look very healthy and very cute. In fact I am just "too cute". I still don't like to eat dry food as I was given wet food to begin with by my previous owners, but mommy put me on Iams immediately as she feels it is the most healthful and nutritious and will give me everything I need to get a good start on adult life. For now she puts some water on the dry food to get it soft as that is the way I like it best. My mommy says I am a "live wire" as I am so playful and am always running around the house and jumping and also doing all kinds of sommersault manuevers. My mommy even recommmended to her friend to give her two cats Iams. She has been an Iams lover for many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kitten food i have owned 6 cats in my life, and they were all adopted as kittens. I fed every cat this food, and they all loved it! When i adopted my first cat Speedy, i didn't really know alot, and this was the first food i tried. He loved it, and so did every cat after that. I just got my first kitten in a few years today, and i picked some of this up because i knew it was the best for my pets. Great food!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Kitty Loves It!!! I am so happy that I purchased this. When I tried to switch to a cheaper, popular brand--my kitty would not eat it. I will now only use Iams Kitten for Ollie. Then will move up to an Iams adult food. Thank you!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gold Standard for my fosters I was given a bag of this one time from the shelter where I foster. I have had great luck with it, not kittens getting sick, and it's good for mama cats too while she's lactating. They seem to appreciate the tiny pieces and I've never had a problem with it, especially after they all had diarrhea on another premium brand. One bag lasts quite a while and I don't feed them anything else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the worst food I bought my new kitten this food. It made her stink. He breath smells horrible and her skin has a new feeling to it. Her feces has increased its odor since I started feeding her this brand. I do not recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kittens give it 2 tails up! I have 6 cat children. 2 of them are under 6 months. They love the Iams Kitten formula! (They have been getting Iams Kitten since they could eat kibble) The triangle shaped kibbles are easier for their tiny mouths to manipulate into smaller bites. Both babies are growing rapidly and are very active and healthy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Strays won't even touch it I tried this food for my two babies because their usual food was sold out at the feed store. They wouldn't even touch it, I had to use all wet food until I could get their regular stuff again. fast forward 6 months. One of my babies got away from me in the woods and I've been trying to get her back. I've got trail cams out with food plots trying to see when she is coming out. The regular food I use gets eaten up by everything in the area, strays and racoons alike. Its been 12 days and I still don't have my baby back. I don't want to keep feeding strays and coons the good stuff so since I still had this stuff laying around I decided to put it out. The strays and wild animals wont even eat it, they sniff it and walk away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My feral kittens love it I was given Hill's kitten as a sample. Quickly mixed it in with Iams and they loved it. My husband picked up Pro Plan kitten by accident and it was terrible. They started vomiting after the first mixed serving. Went back to all Iams and we are good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ash Iams was the only food in the aisle to list its ash content on the label - transparency. What are the other low cost foods hiding?? A quality meat based food like Iams will also reduce the smell of stool. 5 star nutrition would go to their Premium Protection line. p.s. Only wish 20 lb. bags of kitten chow were more readily available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I never feed my cats any other type of cat food. Before i discovered iams kitten food, i wasnt feeding them the best quality stuff and i could see their demeanor, eyes, and coat were dull. After a week of iams, they were extremely active and happy. Their coats shined and became softer. I have put iams and a low quality cat food next to each other and yhe cars always went for iams. First few ingredients are meat... im sold.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value This is my very first time I adopted two kitten. My co-worker recommended IAMS product because she was very happy with the products. My two children are happy with the food, but personally it will be nice if the product has more Omega 6 and 3 fatty Acids, Taurine and lower the Crude Fat. Great product.
