Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Cat Boris has been having a hard time with fur balls. We had to gradually switch him over to Iams. We are really happy with the results and it appears that so is Boris. We feed him both wet and dry food and normally he leaves the dry food and will eat it occasionally but I definitely see that I am filling his bowl a lot more often with dry food. We are very careful about what we feed our pets. I really appreciate that this food has a lot of essential nutrients that will keep our baby healthy and happy. Thank you IAMS for selecting us to take part in this test, we will definitely be using IAMS from now on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from "New and Improved" ? Definitely Not! Pet owners know it is not a good idea to suddenly change their pet's food. Any new food should be gradually introduced. So it seems irresponsible of Iams to change the recipe/formula of their cat food without noting this prominently on the bag. Plus, like many reviews I am reading, my cats don't like it at all. We've been using Iams for many years but now I guess we will have to find another brand my cats will eat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Cat with Iams Adlult food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an indoor cat who can be picky so I thought I'll try the food and see how it works out. So I just went for it and put the Iams Adult food in he bowl and she ate it. WOW and came over begging for more... WOW. She likes it and is happy so we kept on feeding it to her and she his happy with the Iams. So the big test will be to see if she throws it up and no she didn't another big plus...The next test would be to see if she has less fur balls. So far so good and she seems to be happy and I haven't had to clean up any throw up. I hope this works. I'll keep you posted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 4 cats love it! My 4 cats 3 of which are brothers all 8 months old, and one brother that currently turned 4. The 4 year old cat had weight problems, with his love for temptations treats.. I stopped feeding him them and switched all cats on the indoor IAMS proactive health food. I must say, my old cat went back to his normal healthy weight, and his coat shines like never before. Moreover, all cats love the food, i sometimes mix it with wet food. I highly recommend this for indoor cat owner's who want their cat to maintain a healthy weight/prevent hair balls.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great food for a Fussy Cat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 2 cats, Stewie and Trixie, we recently was given a bag of IAMS indoor cat weight and hairball control food to test by Bzzagent.com (a great website which sends you stuff to test for free as long as you write a review such as this), SO we've fed both cats with this food and although Stewie isn't at all fussy about what he eats, we often find that Trixie can be a pain in the butt and changes her mind every other day, it's only been a week in testing it so it's hard to judge the weight loss part of this food at the moment, but she's been gobbling this down all week with no signs of wanting something else to eat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW She'll Actually EAT Iams Cat Food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't believe it our cat, Miss Kitty who is 21 human years old actually likes Iams Dry Cat Food. It gives her everything that she needs for an aged cat. Usually after 2 or 3 days she won't eat it any more so we end up buying her different cat food.. With Iams she hasn't tired of the flavor and she is starting to look a little better. It is hard to find food for aged cats. Aged cats has special needs, which are different from younger cats. Iams provides for these special cats that live a long long life. Thank you Iams for this wonderful cat food for aged cats..Miss Kitty thanks you also. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cat food out there I have a domestic short hair and a domestic long hair. With any other food they cough up hairballs at least once a week but while they've been on this food or the regular Iams hairball control they've had exactly zero hairballs. They've also been indoor cats their entire life and this food or the regular Iams weight control seem to do the best at keeping them at a healthy weight. They can have however much they want and it still keeps them healthy. This food is the best of both worlds and I will never use another one unless I don't have a choice. I would recommend this to everyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Iams Indoor Weight and Hairball Care Cats have eaten this product for years. The last 2 bags we have bought,my cats have to be starving before they will eat this junk. Whatever Iams has done with changing ingredents, they need to go back to the old product. If I could give negative stars, I would do that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My cats hate the new formula!! I bought a 16 # bag of this, not realizing they changed the formula from just chicken and added the turkey and garden greens. It even looks disgusting -and my two cats will not eat this product!! And now I am stuck with 15 1/2 #'s of useless cat food. I am trying different Iam's food- but am very disappointed Iams changed a product I trusted and my cats loved to this awful stuff.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cat hates the new larger size My cat was running out of his favorite cat food so I bought him another bag. Unfortunately they have made the cat food larger in size and he does not care for it anymore. He just looks at me after I give him, probably wondering what happened to his food. So now I have to find another cat food that has smaller pieces like this one used to.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why did you change it? You changed the look and formula of the food now my cat will only nibble at it. He really hates it. He normally is a really a really hearty eater. We've been feeding your food to our cats for years. He's started to lose weight. I do not want my cat to lose weight unless he really needs to and I decide to reduce his food intake. Sorry we will be changing foods. The only way he will eat it is if we wet down his food and mash it. Defeats the whole purpose of buying dry cat food which is better for his teeth. :( :( :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cat hates new formulation We've been feeding our pets exclusively IAMS foods for decades. Our cat had been happily eating the chicken flavor of this food for years. IAMS recently reformulated it with turkey and veggies and our cat just meows, looks at his bowl and looks back at us. He will not eat this. Well, that's one way to control his weight, make the food unpalatable. We will be looking for a different cat food. So sad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Change of formula Boy, I have been running around town buying bags of cat food, hoping to find the old ingredients....got lucky once....I’ve tried to phase in the New with the old and having no luck getting our cat to eat it! Does anyone have an alternative???

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cats Love This Food [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats are very picky about their food. I have tried them on several different brands of food, and have only found one that they will eat until I received the Iams indoor cat formula. I love that I know I am giving my cats all the essential nutrients they need, and still maintaining their weight. My one cat, who is actually very overweight, has lost a few pounds and is looking healthier every week. I have also found that it is helping prevent hairballs and urinary tract infections. I am very happy with this brand and will be switching from here on out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A huge difference! My cat had been vomiting up all the catfoods that I had tried. He was coughing up hairballs atleast once a day. After trying this catfood for anly a week there was a significant different in Jinx. He was more active, had no hairballs and no more vomiting after he would eat. It is a little costly compared to other brands, but the health and happiness of my cat is important to me. I have recommended this cat food to friends. Also as another reviewer put, I have seen a decrease in the smell of his litter box. It's truely amazing! I will never feed my cat anything else again. ( Unless the vet tells me too!)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Cool Iams! Like many here, our cats have been eating Iams food exclusively for many years, then you changed the formula (without notice, Not Cool!) now our kitties wont touch it, and like others we will be looking to a new brand, your loss Iams.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just getting started Just started my cat (who must lose 5 lbs) on Weight & Hairball. His reaction was "meh", but I plan to inform you how things go. I was unable to find the calorie count on the bag, and since I must watch his daily calorie intake, including treats, I was glad to see in in your website. I'd like to ask you to give us kcals per ounce (or 1/4 & 1/3 cup measures) on the bags. For those of us who are trying to be diligent, it would help. Also, I'd like your print to be larger, for those of us who don't want to carry a magnifier to the store. Thank you! Since my kitty just got started, don't put too much credit on the survey. You didn't give me many middle-of-the-road response options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really likes Taste! Ms Kitti has been eating the dry verity of this for the 3 years I have had her and we have had no issues. She won't touch wet food, human food or anything in between. What she was eating before I don't know as she is a rescue, but as a 15 year old Maine Coon she is thriving on Iams dry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened to the food? I read other reviews that their cats do not like the new version of the food due to the kibble size change per Iams. If that is the case, the smell and taste of the food should still be the same and not have changed. Why wouldn't the cats eat the new food? My cats also threw up from the new food. I also changed to a different bag thinking it may be a bad batch. Now that I read other reviews of the same issue with their cats, I beg you (Iams) to change the food back to its original size since this causes issues with our cats. Please allow our cats to eat again. I am heart-broken to see my cats not eating and starving. The only way to keep them from starving is I give them treats. But, that is not a permanent solution. I can't replace their food with treats. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK TO ORIGINAL SIZE. IF THAT IS THE ONLY CHANGE TO THE NEW FOOD. Otherwise, I will switch to another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy, Healthy Cat! I'm really surprised at the negative reviews. I'm wondering if these people read labels. I read them very carefully because healthy food means healthy animals and less vet bills. Sometimes you have to sacrifice flavor for health. If you started out buying brands with all the yummy additives it will be tough to switch over. You will need to add little bits at a time to change over. I have had to do this with my dogs and horses! If IAMS is changing the ingredients hopefully it is to make a healthier food. My cat is happy, healthy and looks amazing. The only thing I question in this cat food is the corn. Is it good for them? I rescued my cat with intentions on giving her away, so she started on cheap food. No problems switching to this. She's been on it for 2 years now. She is active, happy and hilarious!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only dry food for my cats We're on cats numbers 3, 4 and 5. First cat lived 18 years eating regular Iams, but we switched to this formula when we got long haired kitties in the house. Our youngest absolutely loves this food, and when a new bag is opened (we put it in a sealed plastic container) he is literally climbing inside the bag to make sure none was missed. Lately the commissary stopped carrying it for some reason, but I was happy to find an online distributor that offers it at a good price and free shipping. I saw a comment here about "larger size", and have no idea what the author is referring to... please tell me you're not changing this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The new product has been refused by my CAT I bought this product as I have normally bought it for the 12 years I have had my cat. My cat will not eat it now as she evidently doesn't like the turkey ( in the CHICKEN) and garden greens in the redesigned cat food. Thanks for ruining my cat's food.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Change! I have fed my cat the indoor Iams for 5 years. I did not realize that Iams changed the ingredients but my cat did immediately. Thought something was off when he would not eat it. I bought the biggest bag of Iams, because my cat had always loved this food. Definitely looking for food that my cat will eat!
Date published: 2018-08-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ingredients changed! Our two cats loved this dry food when it was labeled "with chicken". Now it seems turkey has been added to the ingredients and they WILL NOT EAT it! The bag looks the same except for two little words in the bottom right corner saying "& turkey" which we did not notice when we bought it. Please bring back the old formula and ditch the turkey!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised all around [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats are FAT! They have been on every diet food out there primarily hills science diet light. They hate everything. They will protest by not eating for a whole day because they know I'll cave and get them something else. No matter how tough I try to be, I can't stand for them not to eat. This Iams food from bzzagent blew my mind. They attacked it. But the cool thing was they were full. they ate less of it on their own than they ever had before. I am a HUGE fan of anything weight conscious that can keep my babies satisfied. Thank you Iams!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from better smelling poo? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat just turned a year and fell in love with a certain "store brand" cat food. We did NOT enjoy the scent from the litter box.......awful. Switched to this better quality food when we received it from my BZZagent within 2 days the stench from the litter box is gone. Cleaning it daily wasn't even helping with the horrible smell. I didn't even want company over. This cat food is a God send. Took him a bit at first to try it but now he enjoys it. Does not eat as much because I believe a better food is absorbed better and satisfies him more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Something seems different.... My cats have been eating this food religiously for at least six years, but for the last few months they just don't seem to be as enthusiastic about it. They're still eating it, albeit reluctantly, so I bought a few more bags to see if it was a fluke, but they haven't cared for it at all. This week, they will barely touch it. What's changed? Pellet size, yes, but that was at the beginning of the year. Maybe I got a bad batch? But I have five cats and every one of them is barely eating. Will try a different flavor and see if that makes a difference.
Date published: 2017-08-11
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product change??? Have you recently changed ingredients for this product? Pellet size is different so I'm wondering if ingredients are different too. Diabetic cat now hates this food.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why the veggie? My 17 year old cat has been eating this product for years. Now she will not eat it and my younger cat will not eat this any more!! I took it back to store and I see you added veggie. I talk to vet and cats do NOT need veggie. The vet helped me find new food close to old product so I switched to Hills.
